About being lazy

So, I don’t feel like writing today or doing much of anything. Steamdeck is waiting for me on the sofa, quizzically asking why am I still in the office.

You see, I want to write a blog every day.
For myself if for nothing else. I find writing very useful. It clears my head, straightens my thinking and leaves a record of what I was thinking at that time.

I also hope some of the blogs can end up useful to other people. If nothing else, just to introduce an idea, they may have not thought of. Maybe get someone thinking:

“Heh, that’s interesting. This is different from what I do. Maybe there is something I can take from this.”

What does this have to do with laziness?

Like I mentioned, I really don’t feel like writing at all today, but I know I will be happy I did write after I publish this.
There is something very pleasant about doing a bit of creating even when you don’t feel like it.

Not quite to force yourself, but to say: “I said to myself I will write every day, so I am doing that! That’s who I am. Someone who does what he promises to do, to himself or to others.”

I think I want to be kind of a person who does what he promises to do. Seems like a better life than the opposite.

You may be wondering why I decided to write every day and I will talk about it some other time, after I think about it for a bit more.
For now just the fact I decided that is enough to get me from the sofa.

Isn’t that lovely?
I managed to write a post complaining about how little I want to write and I even sneaked in here some philosophy and productivity tips. Well, here we are.

Steamdeck here I go.
